Converting a PDF to a Word document is instant and free with Doclair. No software to install, no account required, and your files never leave your browser.
Upload your PDF by clicking Drop your PDF here or dragging it into the upload area.
Choose Editable, Balanced, or Preserve Layout depending on whether you want easier editing or tighter page fidelity.
Click Convert to Word — Doclair rebuilds text, tables, and embedded raster images page by page entirely in your browser.
Download your .docx file and open it in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice or Pages.
Accuracy depends on the PDF source and the export mode you choose. Editable mode gives you more native Word structure for real editing, Balanced keeps native tables while preserving the rest of the layout, and Preserve Layout stays closest to the original page geometry. Embedded raster images are reconstructed, while pure vector artwork can still need manual cleanup in Word.
If the output is missing text, the PDF may be scanned (image-only). Use the OCR PDF tool first to add a searchable text layer, then convert. If the layout looks too loose, switch to Preserve Layout. If you want fewer text boxes and easier editing, switch to Editable. For vector-heavy PDFs, a quick cleanup in Word may still be needed after export.
